Fall Bucket List
Alrighty - so you've got our Fall Bucket List 3 Monthly Calendar in hand? Let's do this! These are some of my family's favorite fall crafts and recipes!
Fall Crafts
The Easy: Yarn Spiderwebs & TP Ghosts
The easiest Halloween craft known to momhood - The TP Ghosts. My toddlers and kids love to make. The kids make them completely and my toddlers get to color on eyes and mouths. They I let them choose where to hang them around our house. Whenever Steven got home they would always giggle and squeal wanting to show them their "scary ghosts". You just simply take some TP, make a ball, drape another TP square over that ball...and use a black yarn or ribbon around the bottom of that TP ball. Then. you let the kids use markers to decorate their ghost (we usually just use black and make silly faces on them). Then we tie a fishing line to that ribbon and tape them to the ceiling.
This one takes a bit more time, but it's simple and you probably have string on hand already - the yard spider web. When my kiddos were too little to do Halloween crafts, I'd let them pick out what corners I'd make the yarn webs. They'd help cut the string with me and held up the yarn ball. The older kiddos actually make them with me and have a lot of fun doing it.
The Cute: Beaded Corn
This one is fantastic because it takes time and is a quiet craft. Kelly Dixon for the win on this Beaded Corn Fall Craft!
Just for You
Have a fall date night or girls night to get together to create your own designer fall decor - and print your own custom drawings onto designer-grade display pieces. This fall craft is always a hit with friends, where you get to sit down and visit....and actually get to talk because you're doing a fall craft that doesn't take immense concentration. Have your craft night and decide on a size from 3"x3" all the way up to an 11"x14". Make sure to use a white piece of printer paper to draw your design on...then follow our instructions to order either our Custom Acrylic Word Art on Wood Stand Display or the Wall Acrylic version. Hint: it doesn't have to be word art, it can be a drawing too! Don't want it in a modern clear version? Then just frame your fall artwork in one of our custom floating acrylic frames, and easily switch it out with new custom artwork!
Fall Recipes
We wouldn't leave you hanging on your fall bucket list items without some toddler-approved recipes! These are my favorite go-to recipes for the fall!
Fall Cookie Recipe - Don't forget your fall cookie cutters on this one! My only suggestion to this recipe is to add one extra cup (yes cup) of sugar and teaspoon of vanilla. And don't panic if it's sticky, just keep dusting it with powdered sugar as you roll it out.
Simmer Pot - the cloves make this! I do rosemary instead of pine clippings.
Pie Recipe - I use the Pillsbury unbaked pie crusts on these. Also, this is weird...but I heat up my pumpkin puree on the stove before adding it in because it gets rid of the can taste.
Apple Cider Recipe - just don't add the brown sugar! And do it in a slow cooker. Just wrap all the spices in a coffee filter and tie it with a rubber band. Turn the slow cooker on to "high" until it's hot, then just lower it to warm.
Soup Recipe - Can ya'll tell my fav website at this point? haha. I use chicken rotisserie. Sub salsa verde for tomatillos and two cans of Rotel instead of plain tomatoes. Also - you can throw it all in a crockpot and cook it for 8 hours on low instead of the stove!
