How to Organize Your Life

Organizing Your Life in 2025

This time of year seems to be the time many people give extra attention to decluttering and reorganizing. Maybe it's that the Christmas decorations are down and you can more easily see everything in your home, maybe the idea of New Year's resolutions is just so engrained in us that it's an innate part of who we are... whatever the case may be, we're here to help you get and stay organized this year!

Using a 2025 Wall Calendar: Seeing the Big Picture

If we've said it once, we've said it at least 200 times, you need to write things down! We know how good your intentions are and how much you just want to remember everything. But, for your sanity and the sake of your family, you need to write it down!

A large, wall-mounted calendar will bring so much calm in your chaos. Be sure to hang it somewhere you will see it regularly (we love creating an entire command center!) and keep your markers close by. Set up your space so that it is as easy and inviting as possible to write down everything happening in your and your family's lives right now. Our custom 2025 calendars make it as easy as possible to create a personalized calendar perfectly tailored to meet your needs and make sense to your brain.

Organizing Your Work From Home Space

Raise your hand if your remote office space is currently picture-perfect. Yeah, me neither. If you're like me and have a million sticky notes scattered around your desk, you'll want to update your space with a personalized desk calendar and to-do list! Our fine-tip board markers make writing a breeze without that awkward squishy-chunky-writing problems that come from a thick marker!

Paper Planners for Organizing

In addition to a wall-mounted calendar, paper planners are an amazing tool to keep your brain calm and organized. A few of our favorites include Rad & Happy planners, The Happy Planner, and Neat Little Nest's Neat Little Planner! They're all amazing for taking on the go (since you can't really bring your wall with you...), and with so many different options, you're sure to find one that will fit your lifestyle.

Helping Your Kids Stay Organized

As your kids grow, they take on more responsibilities at both home and school! Chore charts for kids are an excellent way to help them stay organized and accountable for homework assignments as well as their tasks around the house. They're also great for practicing their handwriting and the visual reminder is more effective in their autonomy as opposed to you reminding them about everything.

Google Calendar Organization

In this digital age, we absolutely love our Google Calendar. It's so convenient to have notifications and reminders set up on our phones and to sync calendars with spouses and work.

However, digital calendars have their shortcomings. For kids, that visual reminder of responsibilities is so important, and a Google Calendar doesn't provide that. Additionally, not every kid is going to have a device to track their calendar, and so they might miss important dates.

Studies have shown that the physical act of writing things down helps the brain better process and remember things, and it doesn't work the same way when typing on your phone. We know the digital framed calendars look awesome, but guess which will hold up during a power outage? Hint: we don't need WiFi for ours.
