Holiday Party Games Everyone Will Love

Did you know that Celeste, our founder, almost graduated from college in Recreational Therapy? As part of her coursework, she learned many activities that promote togetherness, cooperation, and communication among family members. They're all low-prep and engaging for any age, which makes them the perfect games for family holiday parties!

Family Holiday Party Games:

The Peppermint Twist:

Players: 2-50

In this fun gross motor game, everyone holds a candy cane or other small item above their heads and looks up at it. All players spin while only keeping their eye on their candy cane. After 20 seconds, everyone drops their candy cane and tries to jump over it without missing it or falling down. This continues until there is a final surviving player.

Snowball Synergy:

Players: 8-50

A fun twist on a snowball fight without the cold or ice! Each player finds a partner. One partner is blindfolded and kneels on ground, while their partner tells them where to throw the “snowball” to hit the other team. The talking partner cannot touch anything and if they get hit, they are not eliminated. If the throwing partner is hit, they are out of the game. This game fosters teamwork and communication in a fun way!

Stocking Stealers:

Players: 6-50

Each player puts on a pair of socks. Then, each person must crab-walk around the room, attempting to steal the socks from other players. The last person with one or both socks still on their feet at the end is the winner!

A Sweet Holiday Treat

No holiday party is complete without something yummy to eat! Here is the recipe for one of Celeste's favorite treats: pecan pie bars. They have all of the delicious goodness of pecan pie, but in an easier-to-eat form. We hope you love them as much as she does!
