Hi I'm Celeste and I created Circle & Square decor.

Circle & Square decor was created from a craving to create, especially after leaving my career when I became a mother. My inspiration is drawn from everyday motherhood life...seeing a beautiful menu while sitting at a restaurant, a stunning letter pairing while taking my little one's grocery shopping, or becoming inspired on a new calendar or chore chart layout that helps solve another mother's specific home needs. Creating something for a person's home that they'll be looking at everyday and using in their home is an honor that I feel blessed to have.

  1. Tell us about your shop. What motivated you to build a shop?
I started my shop when I became a mother and left my career. I went from working and talking with over 30 people a day to spending all day alone with a baby that only could eat, sleep, fill diapers, and cry. My heart was fulfilled and full, but I craved creating solutions to concrete problems and connecting with people.
  2. From where do you draw inspiration as a maker?
My inspiration is drawn from everyday motherhood life; seeing a beautiful menu while sitting at a restaurant, a stunning letter pairing while taking my little one's grocery shopping, or becoming inspired on a new calendar or chore chart layout that helps solve another mother's specific home needs.
  3. What does it mean to you to be a small-business owner?
Creating something for a person's home that they'll be looking at everyday and use in their home is an honor. Every month I'm blessed with that honor, and I felt it’s important to pay forward those blessings, so each month we donate a portion of our proceeds towards a charity. Being a small business owner means that I help do my part to make the world a better place.
  4. What product are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of my dry-erase chalkboard monthly calendar - this was my first creation and I feel like it solves the most problems. It was hard to find a cute chalkboard calendar that wasn't an eyesore on the wall, wasn't messy, and had the right title sections that worked for my household needs. So I created a dry-erase chalkboard calendar that not only fit in with my home's style, but was created specifically for it and its needs - without all the chalky-dusty mess.
